The Band

Marty Zamora(Lead Guitar/Lead Vocals)

Also known as “The Big Man” Marty began playing saxophone professionally at age 12. Two years later he switched to guitar and although he plays several different instruments, the guitar has been his baby ever since. He attended UNM as a music major , has been on the road playing rock-n-roll , played on cruise ships and has been in several bands such as Powerdrive, The Strangers, Escape and Odd Man Out to name a few. He has been recorded on several CDs with local artists such as Stephanie Sullivan, Leroy Montano, Ricky Garcia, Geneva Esquibel and Amber. He has produced, mixed, engineered and arranged for most of these artists. He recorded a CD called Marty & Triple Shot (“IT’S ABOUT DAMNED TIME “) in 2003 that produced the hit single, “La Calandria” which has become a local favorite and has gotten a lot of airplay. Marty was named All Around Guitar Player of The Year for 2005 by The New Mexico Musicians Fund . He was also presented with  the First Annual Lifetime Achievement Award by the same organization. Marty’s influences include Stevie  Ray Vaughn, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton Ram Herrera and Latin Breed. His passions are Tejano music, Texas Blues, and anything else with a great guitar solo.

Larry Morris (Drums/Percussion/Vocals)

 Larry has been in the business for about 25 years and has played with several groups including The Strangers, New Toy, Darren Cordova y Calor, La Gente and Daniel Cordova. He was an integral part of these bands as they were nominated and won several New Mexico Hispano awards. He brings lots of experience into the band and is one hell of a drummer.

Tony Lopez (Bass/Vocals)

Tony is originally from El Paso Tx. He has been playing for 25 years and has toured all over the US including Texas, California, Alaska, Colorado, Arizona, Tennessee etc…. He has played country, rock, jazz, soul, funk   texmex and variety music with bands such as Black Tie, Texxas, and Del Rio. He has  done  studio  work in El Paso as well as Nashville TN where he has done session work for Digital Sound Recordings in Music Row. He was also working there towards an original project with Howard Steele (Producer and ANR with Asylum Records) along with Scott Martin, Tony Brown, Clyde Brooks and Doug King. He has backed up such artists as Johnny Lee, Alabama and Dr. Hook just to name a few. Tony is a seasoned  musician  who plays bass guitar, guitar and sings lead and background vocals. He is the newest member of Marty and Triple Shot  where he blends in very well and is a great asset to their versatility and dance music style.
